I wouldn't expect them to classify as a decompression bomb, but they also might want to sound like they know what they found and just fall back to "decompression bomb" when it looks suspicious and they think it's bad but it doesn't quite match any specific signature. If they copied some data into this sparse file but it didn't finish (if it failed or was still in the process of downloading), it might look really odd as a file to some scanning program. Steam does this when you choose to install a came if you pay attention to what it's telling you. When downloaders have large files, they'll often pre-allocate the full size of the known download and then just copy the data into the empty file taking up space. It's probably some combination of the updating pre-allocating the space on disk, using compression, and poor antivirus heuristics.
